Wim Leereveld, Foundation Founder, to Present at Harvard Medical School

The Access to Medicine Foundation has been invited to present at the Harvard Pharmaceutical Policy Research Seminar, early this Spring. Chairman of the Board and Foundation Founder, Wim Leereveld will present the topic “Multi stakeholder diplomacy: How establishing and promoting multi stakeholder partnerships created the Access to Medicine Index methodology.”

Executive Assistant

The Access to Medicine Index is currently looking to strengthen the team with an Executive Assistant. He or she is responsible for the daily support of the organization in combination with other tasks including the website and financial administration. Excellent English and Dutch writing skills are essential as well as an eye for detail and a high energy level. The position is based on 20 – 30 hours weekly in our Haarlem/ Amsterdam office. The first Access to Medicine Index was published in 2008, since that time leading pharmaceutical companies have began to align their corporate responsibility programs with Index criterion, others have taken a positive first step towards greater transparency of access to medicine programs.

Access to Medicine Index receives grant of Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation

The Access to Medicine Index announces that The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, will support the Index by providing a $1 million grant. This funding will support an independent evaluation of major pharmaceutical companies’ efforts to enhance access to vital medicines in order to promote global health. more >
