About the Access to Medicine FoundationThe Access to Medicine Index is created and maintained by the Access to Medicine Foundation, which is based in Haarlem, The Netherlands. The Foundation aims to advance access to health care (in the widest sense of the word) in developing countries and, in particular, to encourage the pharmaceutical industry to accept a bigger role regarding access to medicine in pre-industrialized countries. The Access to Medicine Foundation has charity status (ANBI status) under Dutch Tax law. It is registered at the Amsterdam Chamber of Commerce under registration number 34185938. Foundation GovernanceThe Access to Medicine Foundation is governed by a Board. The Board receives guidance from an Advisory Committee, the composition of which reflects the various stakeholders to the cause of improving global access to medicines. To safeguard the independence, impartiality and reliability of the Access to Medicine Index, the foundation is governed by transparent, publicly available codes and policies. more > We welcome your inputWe appreciate hearing from you on how to further develop and strengthen the Index and the Access to Medicine Foundation.
